Identify and analyze works in diverse American literary traditions.

Produce original work within the genres, with a focus on process from idea generation through drafting and revision to final version.

Produce constructive feedback for creative works during peer review.

Apply knowledge of the field by participating in the editorial process for literary journals and/or submitting creative works for publication.
