Program Completion Plan
Contact your Advisor or School of Graduate Studies to discuss a plan to complete the program within the allotted time during the program’s teach-out period before its closure.
All courses will conclude by the Spring 2027; no offerings after that semester.
To stay on track:
Register for courses in the term they are scheduled—they will not be offered again
Meet with your Advisor to confirm your plan and discuss any possible course substitutions; review your degree audit report each semester.
Apply for graduation one semester before you plan to graduate.
Courses
The Liberal Studies (BES) program is being replaced by the Integrated Studies (BA). The new program is fundamentally the same, with the primary addition of an upper-division writing course requirement.
Students have two options moving forward:
Complete your degree under the BES Liberal Studies program by Spring 2027.
Update your major to the Integrated Studies B.A. and follow the new program requirements.
Note: Only students who are already declared in the BES Liberal Studies program may complete the degree by Spring 2027.
If a student has not completed the BES in Liberal Studies program and has not switched to the BA in Integrated Studies program by Spring 2027, they will automatically be changed to the BA in Integrated Studies program.
