Analyze domestic politics at the local, state, and national level.

Evaluate the structure and operation of political systems.

Evaluate the complex interrelationships between the political, economic, social, cultural, and historical forces that drive political phenomena.

Synthesize the scholarship, analytical methods, and theories of politics in one or more of the disciplines four sub-fields: American Politics, Comparative Politics, International Relations and Political Theory.

Critically evaluate political behavior using political theory and applied empirical analysis.

Communicate competently in written and verbal communication forms consistent with the professional norms and standards of political science scholarship.

Design political research: review scholarly literature, test hypotheses, use qualitative and/or quantitative research methods and construct persuasive arguments.
