Program Description
The ECSE certificate meets course requirements for the Birth through Age 6 teaching license. This program prepares individuals to work in home visit programs for parents of infants and toddlers with disabilities or as a teacher at a public or private preschool program for children with and without disabilities. Candidates' learning will be guided by philosophies that support the interactive nature of child-environment exchanges and their importance to children's ongoing developmental progress. Candidates will learn assessment, evaluation, child intervention strategies and family interaction strategies to aid in identifying and providing services for young children with disabilities.
