This is a recommended course sequence based on the current University Catalog for this degree and illustrates how the degree could be completed. Actual plans for individual students will vary based on transfer credits, semester start, advisor recommendations and academic needs.

1. Core Courses: IA 606, IA 612, IA 643, IA 673, IA 681.

2. Information Security Management Electives (9 to 12 credits): IA 644 or IA 633, IA 658, IA 659, IA 680, IA 683, IA 693, IS 543, IS 545, IS 550, IS 551, IS 552, IS 554 or STAT 615, IS 559, IS 560, IS 573, IS 575, IS 577, IS 583, STAT 660.

a. If you have taken any of the 400-level courses as an undergraduate student, students should not take the 500-level counterparts.

b. No more than 3 credits may be counted from IA 680.

c. If a student chooses the thesis option, the student needs to complete 9 credits of electives; If a student chooses the capstone course, the student needs to complete 12 credits of electives.

3. Network Security Electives (9 to 12 credits): IA 644 or IA 633, CYB 530, CYB 531, CYB 551, CYB 533, CYB 561, CYB 562, CYB 565, CYB 573, CYB 575, IS 543 or CSCI 511, IS 551 or CSCI 513, IS 552 or CYB 560, IS 573, IS 575, IS 577, IS 583.

a. If you have taken any of the 400-level courses as an undergraduate student, students should not take the 500-level counterparts.

b. A student can only take two out of the following three groups of classes (one from each group): IS 543 or CSCI 511, IS 551 or CSCI 513, IS 552 or CYB 560.

c. If completing a thesis, the student must complete 9 credits of electives.

d. If completing a capstone course, a student must complete 12 credits of electives.

4. General Track Electives (9 to 12 credits): IA 644 or IA 633, IA 658, IA 659, IA 680, IA 683, IA 693, IS 543, IS 545, IS 550, IS 551, IS 552, IS 554 or STAT 615, IS 558, IS 559, IS 560, IS 573, IS 575, IS 577, IS 583, IS 584, IS 585, STAT 660, CYB 530, CYB 531, CYB 533, CYB 551, CYB 565, CYB 573, CYB 575, CYB 585

a. If you have taken any of the 400-level courses as an undergraduate student, students should not take the 500-level counterparts.

5. Culminating Experience (3 to 6 credits) select from IA699.

a. Students should consult with their academic advisor to determine the most appropriate culminating project plan for their academic and career goals.

b. If completing a thesis, students must complete 6 credits of IA699.

c. If completing a capstone course, students must complete 3 credits of IA699.

6. Apply for graduation one semester before you plan to graduate.
