The Masters of Public Administration (MPA) degree is the professional degree for students seeking a career in public service or nonprofit management. Requirements: Required courses (30 credits): MPA 610, MPA 611, MPA 612, MPA 613, MPA 614, MPA 615, MPA 616, MPA 617, MPA 650, MPA 651.

Electives (6-8 credits): Students select two courses from MPA 654, MPA 655, MPA 656, MPA 657, MPA 658, MPA 679. Pre-service students may take MPA 644 Internship (two credits) as an elective.

All students must complete and pass a comprehensive exam.

Nonprofit Leadership and Management

Credits: 36-38

Requirements: Required courses (30 credits): MPA 610, MPA 611, MPA 612, MPA 613, MPA 614, MPA 615, MPA 616, MPA 617, MPA 630, MPA 631.

Electives (6-8 credits): Students select two courses from MPA 632, MPA 633, MPA 679. Pre-service students may take MPA 644 internship (two credits) as elective credits.

All students must complete and pass a comprehensive exam.

City and County Leadership and Management

Requirements: Required courses (30 credits): MPA 610, MPA 611, MPA 612, MPA 613, MPA 614, MPA 615, MPA 616, MPA 617, MPA 620, MPA 621.
