Program Description

The minor in Planning and Community Development at St. Cloud State University teaches students about the planning processes of cities and regions. It emphasizes sustainability, equity, and inclusion and focuses on the cultivation of analytical and critical thinking skills and their application to real-world issues that affect the built, natural, and socio/economic environments of cities and regions. The minor allows students to enrich and expand their major, prepares them for the job market in a variety of fields with skills valued by many employers, and it provides them with a basis to pursue graduate studies.
