Be Advised

1.       To complete the BS Computer Science, students must complete the 62-67 credit core, plus either the Electives for BS Computer Science or the Big Data Applications concentration or the Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning concentration.

2.       Completion of the 62-69 credit core plus the concentration in Big Data Applications completes the major.

3.       Completion of the 62-69 credit core plus the concentration in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning completes the major.

4.       Completion of the 62-69 credit core plus the concentration in Secure Computing completes the major.

5.       Science Courses (6-9 credits) complete at least 2 courses in 2 different areas, at least 1 must be a lab course: BIOL 152, CHEM 207, CHEM 307, CHEM 210, CHEM 211, AHS 220, AHS 260, PHYS 231, PHYS 232, PHYS 234, PHYS 235.

6.       Senior Elective (12 credits) select a total of 12 credits satisfying at least three of the five areas listed below:

a.       Systems: complete any of the following: CSCI 411, CSCI 413, CSCI 415.

b.       Theory: complete any of the following: CSCI 404, CSCI 406

c.       Artificial Intelligence: complete any of the following: CSCI 440, CSCI 441

d.       Software Development: complete any of the following: CSCI 430 or SE 470 (AI emphasis only)

e.       Applications: complete any of the following: CSCI 450, CSCI 451, MATH 455 (AI emphasis only), SE 482 (AI emphasis only)

10.   All SCSU students must complete a minimum of 120 credits to graduate.

11.   All SCSU students must have at least 40 credits of 300/400 level courses to graduate.

12.   All SCSU students must complete a minimum of 40 credits of Liberal Education courses AND meet the requirements of all 10 goal areas, including RIGR and Diversity.

13.   Apply for graduation one semester before you plan to graduation.
