Degree Map

This is a recommended course sequence based on the current University Catalog for this degree and illustrates how the degree could be completed. Actual plans for individual students will vary based on transfer credits, semester start, advisor recommendations and academic needs.

Be Advised

1. A grade of a B- or higher must be achieved in all courses or the course must be retaken.

2. The final two semesters of the ECE major are devoted to methods courses and student teaching with one semester focused on PreK and the other semester focused on K-Grade 3.

3. Programs at SCSU that lead to a professional licensure prepare students for licensure in Minnesota. While SCSU programs meet the relevant academic requirements set by the licensure board/agency in Minnesota, they may or may not meet the educational requirements for a license or certificate outside of Minnesota.

4. All SCSU students must complete a minimum of 120 credits to graduate.

5. All SCSU students must have at least 45 credits of 300/400 level courses to graduate.

6. All SCSU students must complete a minimum of 40 credits of Liberal Education courses AND meet the requirements of all 10 goal areas, including RIGR and Diversity.

7. Apply for graduation one semester before you plan to graduate.
