Degree Map

This is a recommended course sequence based on the current University Catalog for this degree and illustrates how the degree could be completed. Actual plans for individual students will vary based on transfer credits, semester start, advisor recommendations and academic needs.

Be Advised

1. Dissertation (12 credits): Students must complete a total of 12 credits of HIED 899. Credits can be spread over two, three or four semesters.

2. At least 45 credits of a student's doctoral program must be completed at St. Cloud State University.

3. Electives (6 credits) select from HESA 8130, HESA 8160, HESA 8210, HESA 8220, HESA 8320, HESA 8400, HESA 8950.

4. Advanced Standing Elective Credits (12 credits): Prior graduate credits are usually applied toward advanced standing electives in your E.D.D. program. Up to 12 credits may be accepted from your previous Master's or Doctoral degree. Credits more than 10 years old at the start of the doctoral program may only be used with current experience in the field or evidence of currency in education.
