Program Description
The Middle School Science Education program prepares students to teach middle school science in the state of Minnesota, including chemistry, earth and space science, life science, and physical science. The minor fulfills the science content coursework required by the Minnesota Department of Education to receive a Grades 5-8 science teaching license for the state of Minnesota, but must be paired with an education major to complete required courses in professional education pedagogy, and science teaching method.
