Degree Map

This is a recommended course sequence based on the current University Catalog for this degree and illustrates how the degree could be completed. Actual plans for individual students will vary based on transfer credits, semester start, advisor recommendations and academic needs.

Be Advised

1. Majors below 45 credits require one year in a single foreign language, or a second major, or a minor.

2. Students may select between Art 383 or ART 473, but the courses do not double-count toward both core and elective requirements. Instead, one course can count toward elective credits, while the other can fulfill a core course requirement.

3. Electives (12 credits): select from FILM 264, FILM 360, FILM 396, FILM 401, FILM 470, FILM 474, ART 101, MCOM 335, MCOM 338, MCOM 435, ART 383 or ART 473.

a. Several of the elective coursers may be taken more than once, when content differs from semester to semester. FILM 264, FILM 401, FILM 474 may be counted up to 12 credits of electives. FILM 396 may be counted up to 9 credits of electives.

4. All SCSU students must complete a minimum of 120 credits to graduate.

5. All SCSU students must have at least 40 credits of 300/400 level courses to graduate.

6. All SCSU students must complete a minimum of 40 credits of Liberal Education courses AND meet the requirements of all 10 goal areas, including RIGR and Diversity.

7. Apply for graduation one semester before you plan to graduate.
