Critically read and evaluate scientific journal articles and published geologic reports related to glacial and surficial geomorphology, and apply them to an investigation of the geomorphology of an area.

Construct the glacial geologic history of the Upper Midwest based on evidence from ice-lobe deposits, and erosional and depositional features associated with continentail ice and stream terraces.

Apply key techniques and methods in glacial and surficial geomorhpology (e.g., log and interpret ice and sediment cores, interpret isotopic data, and utilize the Minnesota water-well database).
