CHEM 210. General Chemistry 1

Description: General chemistry principles. Stoichiometry, solutions, bonding, quantum chemistry, thermochemistry, properties of solids, liquids and gases.
Prerequisites: CHEM 160 with C or better OR ACT math subscore of 22 or higher OR MATH 072 with C- or better OR score of 87 or higher on Intermed Alg Placement Test-CAT OR score of 50 or higher on ACCUPLACER CLM exam

Additional Information: Higher level acceptable MATH classes: MATH 072, MATH 112, MATH 113, MATH 115, MATH 193, MATH 196, MATH 211, MATH 212, MATH 221, MATH 222, MATH 325. Go to for an explanation of prerequisite for CHEM 210. Laboratory Room located in WSB Addition. There is no placement exam to get into CHEM 210. Students who have not had high school chemistry but meet the math requirements for CHEM 210 are strongly urged to register for CHEM 160.
