Description: Theories and applications of electronic and optical materials including topics such as semiconductor devices. linear dielectric materials, ferroelectrics, piezoelectrics, and pyroelectrics, classical propagation, interband absorption, excitons, luminescence, molecular materials, liquid crystals, and nonlinear optics.
Prerequisites: C or better (not C-) in MATS 411 or MATS 511 and MATS 412 or MATS 512
