MME 420. Finite Element Method

Description: Linear finite element methods including shape functions, stiffness matrix, trusses, beams, and isoparametric elements. Applications to stress analysis and heat transfer with comparisons to other methods. Technical elective.
Prerequisites: MME 201 or MME 202, MME 211 or MME 212, MME 224 or MME 225, MATH 327 or (MATH 325 and MATH 312)

1. Apply the fundamental theory of finite element methods.
