ECE 380. Engineering Communication

Credits: 2
Department: Electrical & Computer Engineering
Description: Planning, preparation, and critiquing of engineering reports and presentations. Application of Gantt charts, budgets, Mathcad, MATLAB, and/or other software to engineering projects and communication. Completion of this course with a grade of "C" or better fulfills the upper division writing requirement for the department.
Prerequisites: ENGL 191
Corequisites: Select one: ECE 311, ECE 312, ECE 323 or MME 210, MME 330, MME 340, MME 350

Student Learning Outcomes

1. Generate and integrate mathematical equations using Matlab, Mathcad, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.
2. Develop Gantt chart schedules and budgets for projects and integrate them into reports and presentations.
3. Efficiently and professionally produce and deliver written engineering reports.
4. Efficiently and professionally produce and deliver oral engineering presentations.
5. Critique professional written and oral engineering presentations.
