Program Description

Students in the Cybersecurity minor will learn many aspects of computer and network security, including intrusion detection, ethical hacking, high-level programming, privacy, and cryptography. Demand is high for students with skills and knowledge in Cybersecurity. The Cybersecurity minor is intended for students pursuing degrees in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or Mathematics but it is open to any student wanting to supplement their degree program with a solid background in programming, networking, and cybersecurity topics.

Other requirements applicants MUST complete prior to admission.

Students may apply when the following conditions are met:
• Currently enrolled in the university with a specific major program.
• Earned at least 30 college credits with a GPA of 2.5 or better.
Students who do not meet the above requirements or are on academic probation will not be accepted to the minor and will not be allowed to take any 400-level courses in the discipline.
