Program Description
The optics discipline links physics, engineering, chemistry, and materials science. The Optics Minor is an interdisciplinary technical minor which connects science and engineering. It is designed to serve a wide range of students in technical disciplines such as physics, mechanical engineering, manufacturing engineering, electrical engineering, and chemistry. The minor emphasizes problem-solving and hands-on laboratory skills underscored by a strong foundation in optics theory.
