ED 617. Emergent Literacy Instruction and Assessment

Description: Literacy development and instructional strategies for emergent readers. Reading factors including phonological awareness, phonics, phonemic awareness, and word analysis skills. Candidates will be required to tutor a struggling reader in grade K or 1, applying evaluation tools and course content.
